Canoe goes into water
On April 27, 2000 - The group is excited and nervous today because the canoe is being put into the water. It takes a couple of hours to get the canoe into the water. Everyone takes part using ropes and pulleys.

The maiden voyage takes place from the Celtic Shipyards located on Musqueam lands to the Maritime Museum in Vancouver.

Naturally everyone is nervous, but with determination the crew gets in the canoe whilst Bob Baker drums a song. Without much practice the inexperienced crew quickly notice that the canoe is kind of tippy.

The crew paddles for four (4) hours.

The day after we first put the canoe into the water we had the ceremony.
