Our mission at Anderson Lodge Women’s Shelter is to assist and educate homeless women by providing a safe nurturing environment that encourages positive changes and builds inner strength allowing them to achieve their goals.

Anderson Lodge Women's Shelter has been home to 144 homeless women of the Vancouver area. There are many stories of the ladies who reside here rebuilding themselves from broken sould to become stronger more independent women. Our service here has supported the women to grow by; first meeting their basic needs and allowing them to feel their feelings and teaching them it is all OK. Secondly, we show them respect and trust for God, for themselves and others by example. We educate on basic life skills, employment and independent living addiction free along with in many cases re-parenting and re-establishing family and structure. WE have sisters, aunties, mothers and they are all made to feel that they belong. Some ladies are here for a short time some for longer but they all say this is home.

Anderson Lodge has built a reputation in the community as a healthy service with a great success rate. We will hopefully continue to offer services to the homeless women of the Vancouver area for years to come. We have met our objectives ten-fold time and time again. We have housed 144 women all of whome have impacted our lives and we have impacted theirs.
